AUBURN -- A Moravia man admitted driving drunk New Year's Day with a 0.13 blood alcohol count, which resulted in an accident that injured two people in an oncoming vehicle.
Albert Cole, 37, of 4512 Grange Hall Road, pleaded guilty in Cayuga County Court Thursday to two misdemeanor counts of second-degree attempted vehicular assault and one misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated.
On Jan. 1 around 1 a.m., Cole was driving on White Road in Sempronius when he entered the oncoming lane of traffic and struck the other car. He was initially charged with felony vehicular assault charges, which were reduced to misdemeanors as part of a plea bargain.
