AUBURN - Meg Feocco pitched a four-hitter as the Auburn Xtreme 14-and-under team defeated Central Square 3-2 in a Syracuse Fastpitch League softball game Thursday.
Brittany Lawler and Mollie Pinker led the offense with two hits each while Leah Netti, Haley Jordan and Rachel Carbonero added a hit each.
Brittany Cunningham, Brianne Moshaty and Rachel Giannone led an errorless defense.
18-AND-UNDER
Auburn Xtreme 8, Indian River 7
Amanda Daum and Kelley Grinnell led the offense with two hits apiece while Brianne Raftis belted a key two-run triple.
Maggie Race and Sara Doan each hit a two-run single while Sarah Green added a double.
Brittany Babcock was the winning pitcher, scattering six hits and striking out six. The Xtreme were then eliminated in the semifinal game when they lost 6-0 to Sandy Creek and their all-state pitcher Mandy Fowler.
Lee Kehoe and Race had the only Xtreme hits.
