APD wants help in boat motor theft
The Auburn Police Department is seeking information about a stolen boat motor taken from Trade-A-Yacht at 147 Pulsifer Drive, Auburn.
The outdrive portion of a Mercruiser boat motor, valued at $3,000, was removed from a 1995 Hurricane boat parked at the business.
The motor was stolen during the week leading up to July 31. Anyone with information is asked to contact the APD Detective Bureau's tip line at 252-8222.
Police seek tips in bar burglary
The Auburn Police Department is seeking information about a burglary of Harley's Pub at 149 State St., Auburn. The bar was burglarized between 3 and 4 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. The burglars entered through a delivery access point. About $225 in liquor was stolen. Officers responded to the report of the burglary at 11:40 a.m. the same day.

S. Falls to dedicate bust for mayor
A tribute for the first female mayor will fit in perfectly in the birthplace of the women's movement.
Seneca Falls will dedicate the bust of its first woman mayor at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ludocivo Sculpture Trail. Diana Smith holds the lone reins as the only woman to reach that top status in the town. Smith's likeness will stand near the entrance to the park. Organizers will serve refreshments after the unveiling.
Credit alert issued for veterans
Anyone who received a letter from the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in May 2006 regarding a security data breach should closely monitor their financial accounts and billing statements.
Personal data was used fraudulently, consider placing a fraud alert on credit files.
