I think they should put Bill Balyszak in place and let him be the interim manager of the city because I think he's a very smart man, and his column every Monday shows how smart he is. I think they should really consider him.

Derek Jeter is NOT disliked by New York fans, as he is not only a terrific shortstop, but captain of the team. Alex Rodriguez knew when he joined the Yankees that he was going to play third base and could have stayed where he was, and I wish he had.

Can the county residents sue the county for not spraying when they are supposed to? If I get e-coli or West Nile, or something like that from these bugs, I'm going to look into it.

Hats off to Sheriff Outhouse for requiring his employees to keep their tattoos covered - as they should be. When I look at an employee in any job field I want to see professionalism; a tattoo of any sort does not properly portray that image.

Do the taxpayers realize that there is a future expense for the artificial turf of up to $250,000 and there is no guarantee that we will get any state funding.

To the Auburn School Board: If you were going for surgery who would you speak to, a doctor or a plumber? Then why are you not listening to what the teachers are saying in regards to cutting remedial positions since we are the ones in the classroom dealing with the children and we know their needs.

Auburn needs a sign when entering the city on North Street. “Welcome to Auburn, watch out for the potholes.”

Where do the people think that the state money is coming from. It is coming from our pockets so the district is not just getting state aid, it is money for us, and yes, they are taking it away from specific needs.

If beer can now be sold on Sunday mornings, then they ought to not sell alcoholic beverages refrigerated. That way the extra beer drinking won't result in more DWIs and DUIs.

The remarks made about Orchard Street was not regarding bank robbers. It was about an increase in prostitution, drugs and crime.

There should be bars and restaurants that allow smoking, and those that don't. This would give everyone their equal civil rights.
