Concerts may be better suited for fairgrounds

Monday, July 31, 2006 9:55 AM EDT

I'm surprised the people who live in Weedsport are not up in arms about the traffic jam and inconveniences caused by K-Rockathon. A 15-mile Thruway backup of 10,000 cars, people urinating on the side of the road, garbage strewn all over.
I do not believe Weedsport's roadways can support these types of venues. I believe they would be better suited at the New York State Fairgrounds. Or is the village being reimbursed for our inconvenience?

" the old saying..'it ain't summer till its rocking in Weedsport'. Weedsport use to have many concerts in the past, people know how to get about and brings money into the village. Now they only have like one big a year. I wish they had more to be honest. I am over 50 and never been to one . The cans ,bottles are cleanned up I think by the scouts and the money is donated I believe. Weedsport endures. "
