AHS sets dates for fall sports physicals
Auburn High School has announced its fall sports physical dates.
For boys, physicals will be Aug. 8-9 at 8 a.m. at the high school. Girls will be Aug. 10-11 at 8 a.m. at the high school. Modified athletes are welcome, and any summer school student is welcome to attend Aug. 11.
All students must have a parent sign a 75-D form, which can be downloaded from the school's athletics Web site.
Any physical performed by a family physician must also have a 75-D form completed and verified by the school district.
YMCA, Doubledays hosting youth camp
There will be a Doubledays/YMCA youth baseball camp from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 7-9 at Falcon Park.
Doubledays coaches and players will provide instruction for boys and girls ages 8 to 15.
The fee is $35 for YMCA members and $70 for the general public.

Pop Warner still has some openings
There are still some openings for Auburn Pop Warner Football. The roster spots are in the junior midget division, for players 10 to 12 years old between 115 to 130 pounds. There is also room for 13-year-olds up to 110 pounds.

Auburn varsity football coach Dave Moskov is leading a football camp from 8:30 a.m. to noon, July 31 to Aug. 4.
The camp is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 15. Flag football games and pass and kick competitions provide plenty of action, and the camp concludes with a pizza party.
The fee is $35 for YMCA members and $70 for the general public.

Champions for Life Sports Center is offering recreational day camps from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for boys and girls ages 6 and up.
The camps are being offered Aug. 7-11 and Aug. 21-25.

Cayuga women's tourney Aug. 12
The Cayuga County Women's District Tournament will take place Aug. 12-13, with the first day being played at Owasco Country Club and the second day at Dutch Hollow Country Club.
The tournament is open to all women in Cayuga County or those who play in leagues in Cayuga County. The cost is $60, and it will be a scratch-flighted tournament.

The Great Race will be held on August 13 with five distinct run, bike, paddle (either canoe or kayak) Team Triathlon Relay races at Emerson Park.
There will be the traditional canoe race, short canoe race, traditional kayak race, short kayak race and traditional tandem race.
Applications can be picked up at the YMCA or the Great Race office on Williams Street.
