Two Cents

Let's give the million dollars for artificial turf back to the taxpayers.
If you were upset that flags were not flown in Auburn for the Independence Day celebration, exactly where would you have the city mismanagers cut expenses to offset paying city employees for accomplishing the flag raising?

I find it funny that the Cayuga County Legislature had to run in and vote down a casino for Auburn, but when it was mentioned for other parts of Cayuga County, nothing was said.

When do they pick up the trash at Seward Park? It's a mess for visitors to the Seward House to see. The sidewalks are broken slate and it is unsightly.

Psychological best explains the content of bad marriages. One member is psycho and the other is logical.

Auburn needs an all-volunteer fire department that won't party on the taxpayers' dime.

What about a Price Chopper supermarket and a BonTon around the mall? Years ago they talked about a supermarket next to the mall --- whatever happened to that?

To the Auburn firefighters who attended the graduation party on Van Anden Street. The Petrosino family must have been very happy to have you there in their time of loss. Hats off to you.

The weekend cycling event deserved better from the city.

" My 2 cents are as follows...no matter how you cut it, those firemen should NOT have been at that party while on duty. Period. I don't care if it was a party for the President! Yes the weekend cycling event did deserve better from the city, but why everyone's so surprised that Auburn stiffed them is beyond me. Hello, we're talking about Auburn! And right on point w/the county legislature voting the casino idea down the minute it hits Auburn. Everyone was mute on the point when it was considering Sennett. "

" First of all, you're right give the turf money to the taxpayers. As for the flags. Let local people or local vets post the flags if the city workers can't. I'm sure that you'd get voluteers. Problems is,then the city unions would complain! How bout utilizing the fireman instead of letting them sleep at the firehouses! "
