Minnoe earns second

Auburn's Claire Minnoe took second place in a Level One USTA tennis tournament this weekend.
Minnoe, who plays in the Girls 12-and-under division, beat Alexandra Rusyniak of Clinton (6-0, 6-0) in the quarterfinals and upset the No. 2 seed, Rea Puka of Syracuse (7-6 (8-6), 6-0) in the semifinals.

In the finals, Minnoe lost to top-seeded Olivia Messineo of Kirkville (6-3, 6-1).

The clay court tournament was held at Eastside Racquet Club in Manlius.
