Two Cents

With Wakefield, Wells and Clements, three of their five starters all out with injuries, it's a miracle the Red Sox are still in the race. They've also lost two outfielders, just like their opponents, the Yankees, who have lost no starting pitchers.
So Native American tribes are sovereign nations and should not be taxed? Well, if the Onondaga tribe is a nation, how come their mail is delivered by the United States Postal Service, their roads are maintained by New York state and Onondaga County, their children are educated - tax free - by the LaFayette Central School, and their children with incompetent parents are supported in foster homes by Onondaga County?

Regarding those impromptu roadside (in Town of Springport) memorials for people killed in accidents - how long do they have to be left up? Respectfully asking - don't these deceased people have graves where crosses, balloons, flowers, stuffed animals, etc. can be left?

I didn't know that are county legislators were psychics and could see what is going to happen and the steps it takes to bring a casino to Auburn. If they are such great seers, why can't they see the jobs the businesses would bring.

A question, why do people who live and work around the lake have to put chemicals on their lawns? This has to affect the lake quality.

Why does Auburn have to make things so difficult for new businesses, as in Poppy's and old businesses, such as Peter's Pizza and the new restaurant on Wall Street?

Whatever happened to the rebuilding of East Genesee Street, which is an absolute disgrace for the main entrance to the city on Route 20 from the east? Perhaps the city fathers should be less concerned about cutting the police and fire departments manpower and ask the city engineer why the eastern end of Genesee Street hasn't at least been started since it was supposed to be done by now.

All the construction downtown has made Auburn into a driving obstacle course.

As I see it, there are three courses of action left for the U.S Congress, the New York State Assembly, and the Cayuga County Legislature: Repeal every law ever passed, adopt the Ten Commandments, and adjourn for 1000 years!

Auburn had numerous undefeated football teams and they played on plain old grass. They didn't go to unbelievable exorbitant and unaffordable playing field coverings.

Could Auburn please put someone in the position that is responsible for the timing of traffic lights who is actually capable of making it so that we do not catch every red light when driving on the Arterial/Grant Avenue?
