Seymour Library will host storytime on the lawn at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25. Bring a blanket and enjoy some stories in the fresh air.
The event will be moved inside if it rains, and it is free. No registration is required.

Blue Lights reunite at Emerson Park
Good music, good friends and good memories can be had from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday, July 21, at Emerson Park.
The Fleming Fire Department announces the reunion of the Blue Lights Band. Together again after 13 years, Ron Garropy, Sam Giangreco, Mickey Savino, Johnny Bertonica and Bob Spadafora will bring you “A Night to Remember.”
Admission is a $2 parking fee that will be charged all evening.
Senior citizens, handicapped and season pass holders park free.
There is no admission fee to the dance itself.
Food and drinks for sale by the Fleming Fire Department.

Musician Tom Sieling will perform at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at SS. Peter and John Episcopal Church, 169 Genesee St.
The performance is part of Seymour Library's annual series of entertainment for children.
The performance is free, and no registration is required.

MacKillop presents Irish Book of Kells
The Irish American Cultural Institute presents Irish Food and Thought - The Book of Kells with Patricia MacKillop, local artist and teacher. MacKillop has researched the Book of Kells, one of Ireland's truly great treasures.
MacKillop will show photos of the illuminated manuscript which dates from 800 AD. It is an attribute to the dedication and skill of ancient Irish craftsmen.
The event will be at PJ Dorsey#'s, 116 Walton St. Syracuse, on July, 28. Admission of $25 includes dinner, $10 without dinner. Cocktails at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and Pat MacKillop's program begins at 8 p.m. followed by Music by the Seissiuns.

Acting, singing auditions at Geva
Geva Theatre Center will be holding general auditions for both acting and singing. The singing auditions will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29 and the acting auditions will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, and 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 31.
Requirements for the acting auditions include a headshot, resume, and two contrasting monologues - not to exceed four minutes total combined length.
For the singing audition a headshot, resume, 16 bars of music and sheet music in the correct key are all required. There will be an accompanist on site.
All auditions will take place at Geva Theatre Center, 75 Woodbury Blvd. To make an appointment, call 232-1366, ext. 3052.
Those who were at the 2005 acting auditions cannot repeat an acting audition at this time; however, they are still eligible for a singing audition.
