July 17, 1911
Attorney Van Sickle met with a painful accident at the lake last Friday evening. He and his family arrived at the Knapp-Payne cottage on the east side of the lake and while engaged in opening the cottage, Mr. Van Sickle struck his head with a force sufficient to break his glasses, severely lacerating one eyelid.

Miss Anita Mae Timmons, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Timmons of Long Beach, Calif., formerly of Auburn, was one of 26 postulants who received the habit of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the Immaculate Heart College Chapel in Los Angeles.
