A date with Jessica Biel will be up for bid next week to help raise money for a teenager who lost her leg in a prom night limousine accident, Denver newspapers reported.
The event dubbed “Mollypalooza” to help Molly Bloom's family with medical expenses is scheduled for Tuesday at the Rock Island Club, organizers said.
In an audio message posted on the Internet, Esquire's “The Sexiest Woman Alive” urges listeners to support the event and says: “I intend to submit a very special auction item as my contribution to the evening.”
Gibson's passion has him helping poor
Mel Gibson, about to wrap up the filming of his Mayan epic, “Apocalypto,” in the jungles of Mexico's Veracruz state, is donating money to build houses for poor people in the region.
The 50-year-old director-actor will donate the money through the Rotary Club and Mexico's family welfare agency, government officials announced Thursday.
Officials said the donation will be used to construct homes for poor residents of the port city of Veracruz and the city of San Andres Tuxtla.
Gibson began filming “Apocalypto,” which follows the journey of a Mayan hero on the run through the rain forests of pre-Columbian Mexico, last fall.
The action adventure is set for release Dec. 8.

to new Shrek movie
A new fighting force of fairy tale princesses are joining the cast of the upcoming computer-animated comedy “Shrek the Third.”
The princesses will be voiced by Cheri Oteri (Sleeping Beauty), Amy Poehler (Snow White), Maya Rudolph (Rapunzel) and Amy Sedaris (Cinderella), DreamWorks Animation SKG announced Thursday.
Also joining the cast for the third chapter of the Shrek saga, set for release next year, are Eric Idle as Merlin, Ian McShane as Captain Hook, John Krasinski as Sir Lancelot and Justin Timberlake as a young King Arthur.
The original casts from “Shrek” and “Shrek 2” - including Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (Donkey), Cameron Diaz (Princess Fiona) and Antonio Banderas (Puss in Boots) - will reprise their roles.

Naomi Campbell was sued Thursday by another former employee, this one a young Florida woman who claims the supermodel abused her verbally and physically on three continents.
Amanda Brack, 20, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., accused Campbell of assault, battery, false imprisonment and infliction of emotional distress in incidents that started a month after she began working for her in February 2005, court papers say.
Brack's lawsuit was filed while Campbell, 35, was in plea negotiations over another assault charge where she was accused of throwing a cell phone at one of her employees.
