Serious illness goes beyond medical care

Sunday, July 16, 2006 12:09 AM EDT

To the “The Citizens' Say” that was in the paper on July 4: Does she not have children? Evidently she doesn't know what it's like to have a child with a serious illness like the Moore family has had.
There is so much more involved than just medical here. There's the price of gas going to and from hospital, the stays overnight, it's parking, it's the eating away from home. But alone, what support they get from some people who do care about what happens to their children and help plan and support those families in just a hard and trying time, when everything seems to look at its worst.

They have those benefits and those people show them support, not the ones worried because they know parents have medical.

Keep planning those benefits for the Moore family.

" You know what's interesting about this...that "phyllis" has yet to come back out and either give more of an explanation as to why she made those idiotic statements; or to apologize for what she said, and The Citizen failing to apologize to the Moore family for printing those comments. I still can't fathom why someone would say something so mean and hurtful to a family with a sick baby! It's beyond comprehension. APOLOGIZE PHYLLIS! Come out of HIDING! "
