National star to perform in Auburn
Tori Sparks, a recording pop/rock artist from Nashville, Tenn., will perform a free concert today in Auburn.
The concert begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 16, at Green Shutters, 6933 Owasco Road.
Sparks will perform music from her “Rivers + Roads” album. Sparks first music video, “Rivers + Roads,” was recently selected Best Pop Video by the Indie Gathering and plays on central New York's network Video Hits.

Auburn to witness local TV star
Auburn native Kiff Scholl will be appearing tonight on an episode of the Comedy Central show “Reno 911!”
Scholl, the son of Jim and Pam Anderegg of Auburn, will be playing the role of a brother of a character named Junior. Scholl is currently pursuing a film, television and stage career while residing in Hollywood.
Tonight's episode airs at 10:30 p.m. and it will be repeated at various times on Comedy Central throughout the week.
Cornell to offer free cooking classes
Cornell Cooperative Extension's Nutrition Department in Cayuga County is offering free cooking classes.
Classes are held 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the County Office Building's basement on Genesee Street in Auburn.
