Two Cents

Hurray for the Bonnie Blue flag that bears a single star.
Two Cents - this new Citizen would be a bargain if it was $2 a day and $20 on Sunday. This is now a great paper!

France vs. Italy in the World Cup final. The only question is: Which team will surrender first?

I'd like to see the figures on declining student enrollment and escalating budget figures run again next year, at school budget time - just as a reminder!

Who in their right mind would wear Tag or Axe body spray, body wash, etc.? All that stuff smells strongly of French women's perfume!

" The reason you see all that cardboard is there's a lot of cave dwellers out there that don't know cardboard is being recycled now, or do know and put it out for trash anyway. Unless it's the cardboard pickup week (only once a month), the city leaves it and it just sits there. And of course many people aren't willing to bring it back from the curb if the city leaves it, or don't care if it's there to begin with. "

" What is it with people leaving cardboard out on the curbs for weeks on end? The city looks like a dump. It's really gross when you're out walking and there is so much decaying cardboard. "

" I don't gamble at all -- not even raffle tickets. But I personally know LOTS of people who do gamble on a daily basis, whether they can afford it or not, and that's not counting the people I know who waste money on lottery tickets. I haven't said a word about the casino before now, but you don't need to research and get the statistics to know there are enormous numbers of people out there with gambling addictions.... "

" It seems that everyone critizing the casino is worried about someone eles's problem rather that their own. If none of these people have a gambling problem, what makes them think that all of their neighbors will? "
