Challenger League kicks off Saturday
The 2006 Little League Challenger League opening day will be at 5 p.m. on July 8 at the Little League Fields at Emerson Park.
If you haven't registered yet, show up at 4:30 to do so.
Teams will be picked and the schedule will be set up.

The Auburn Indians Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading organization is offering on final opportunity to register for the fall 2006 program from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 5 at the Knights of Columbus, 47 Market Street in Auburn.

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is offering a three-week daily session of athletic power training beginning July 10.
The session is geared toward off-season and pre-season athletes and will improve speed, agility and power.

Champions for Life Sports Center is offering summer programs for gymnastics, tennis and karate.
The six-week program is being held from July 10-August 24.
Weekly classes for gymnastics are for boys and girls ages 2 and older.
Tumbling for cheerleading weekly classes for boys and girls ages seven and older. Weekly classes for tennis are for boys and girls ages seven and up, with private and group lessons for ages 13 and up.
Karate classes will be held for boys and girls ages eight through adult.

YMCA to host girls volleyball camp
There will be a girls volleyball camp at the YMCA from 8:30 a.m. to noon on July 17-21.
Join Auburn High School varsity volleyball coach Jennifer Hall for a fun-filled week of bumping, setting and spiking.
Pizza party will be held on the last day for all participants.
The program is open to girls ages 12 and older.
The fee is $35 for YMCA members and $70 for the general public.

The Auburn YMCA is offering a 4-on-4 Little-Big Man Basketball Tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 8.
There will be three divisions of play - grades 5-8, 9-12 and ages 18 and over.
All games will be 30 minutes, and all teams are guaranteed three games.
You must be 6-feet or shorter to play as the baskets will be lowered to eight feet.
The cost is $60 per team.
There is a limit of only eight teams.
