New dates announced for YMCA basketball

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU's summer basketball camp has changed its dates. The camp, for ages 7-15, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 21-25.
Auburn High School varsity coach Al Giannone will be the instructor.

Camp fees include 20 hours of instruction and games, a camp T-shirt and lunch on Friday.

Fees are $35 for Y-members and $70 for the general public. Space is limited.

Summer volleyball to start at YMCA

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is holding a summer volleyball camp for girls ages 12 and older from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. to be held from July 17-21.

The Auburn High School volleyball coach Jennifer Hall will be the camp director.

The fee is $35 for Y-members and $70 for the general public.

Soccer camp offered at Champions for Life

Champions for Life Sports Center is offering an Outdoor Soccer Camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this summer at Everest Park in Owasco.

It will be held from July 10-14, for children 12 and under, July 17-21, for ages 13-14 and July 24-28, for 15-17 year olds.

The cost is $150 per person.

YMCA, D-days to hold baseball camp

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU and the Auburn Doubledays will be holding a baseball camp for children ages 8-15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Falcon Park on Aug. 7, 8 and 9.

Instruction will be provided by the Doubledays professional coaches and players.

Camp fees are $70 for Y-members and $80 for the general public.

The cost includes three days of instruction, three lunches, a Doubledays hat and T-shirt, and three general admission tickets to Doubledays home games.

Syracuse University holding soccer camp

There will be a boys soccer camp held during the week of July 16-20, at Syracuse University. The cost is $460 for the overnight camp for boys ages 12-18 and $340 for day camp for boys ages 10-18.

There will also be a junior kickers coed day camp from 9 a.m. to noon July 17-20, at SU for boys and girls ages 6-10. The cost will be $115.

Musselman triathlon to hit Geneva in July

The Musselman Triathlon will be offering a prize of $4,200.

First-place winners in the men's and women's races will be awarded $1,000.

The half-ironman distance swim-bike-run event will take place July 16, in Geneva.

Summer judo classes offered at CCC

A summer judo program is being offered by Cayuga Community College.

Session I is going on now and runs through June 22. Classes are from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.

Session II is June 26 to Aug. 8, and is held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Physician clearance, personal health coverage and a proper uniform, which can be ordered from the instructor, are required for the course. The fee is $125 for both sessions.
