A melee in the Auburn Denny's Restaurant parking lot Saturday morning left a victim with an open head wound after being hit with a beer keg tap. A 21-year-old was arrested for second-degree assault, a felony.
Jared Valletta, 21, of 4600 Jordan Road, Skaneateles Falls, was arrested by the Auburn Police Department on the allegation he hit a victim in the head with the beer keg tap. No one else was charged.
Three police officers responded at 4:43 a.m. to the Denny's parking lot because of a report of six to seven men fighting outside of the restaurant.
The argument had started inside the restaurant, police said.
The victim with the head wound was treated at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Valletta was arraigned in Sennett Town Court Saturday morning.
