How come the stop signs near Bed, Bath & Beyond in the fire lane are on the wrong side? They're on the left and not the right - this isn't Europe.
If Team USA isn't doing it for you, try rooting for the country of your origin. For me, it's “Let's go Team Italia!”

I think the mayor opening up a casino in Auburn is a good idea, first of all because it brings change to Auburn. Auburn is a dead, boring city, and the casino would bring it back to life.

How low does Auburn population have to go before John Salomone realizes that it might be sensible to lay someone off?

" what a night for baseball. the doubledays home opener was a great time even though they didn"t pull out the victory! "

" "Exit strategy", "Phased withdrawal", "Strategic redeployment"... all these phrases sound cool and militaristic but they are simply PC terms for surrender! The Democrats/Socialists just have to get us the heck out of there before this thing becomes a complete success and they wind up looking like the worthless fools that they are. "

" Why is the Citizen conducting a pole as to whether the City Council should change its meeting time for the summer. I watched the replay of the meeting from last Thursday, and it was clear to me that there wasn't going to be any changes to the meeting times this summer. Here goes the Citizen creating a story where there isn't one. "

" Hahahaha..... parents using marijuana to reward young children for good behavior....to hell with that, the parents should reward themselves by smoking it!! More people should smoke, we have way too many wound up people in our society. Weed is not a harmful substance, and dont believe the hype that our govt. feeds us regarding the drug - theyre getting kickbacks from tobacco companies to suppress it. Youre only a fool if you think different. "

" On your "Lighter Side" story regarding parents using marijuana to reward young children for good behavior...not funny. What were you thinking? "

" Why do the people of the surrounding area continue to patronize (so fervently that vehicles are backed up into the street)a doughnut shop that is owned by an internet predator of children? Why are they so callous and uncaring? "

" What has happened to the grand plan of the 80's when Auburn would be a tourist paradise with the connection of the downtown area to the lake via the Owasco outlet. It is my opinion that if this plan had been consumated, Auburn would not be in a financial fix. It is obvious that industrialised small cities like Auburn are fading from the American landscape. It would have been wonderful to look forward to all those tourists coming to Auburn and enjoying the lake, the outlet, the kyaking, our fine restaurants and our WONDERFUL NEW CASINO. What is going on with our planning and our city fathers? "

" It's nice to know that County Legislator Dave Pappert considers the County emloyees a "drain". Perhaps he should look no further than his own colleagues, Ann Petrus who "resigned" for a day so she could receive her retirement benefits, and the rest of the legislature for ignoring the people and going forth with a County Manager for $80,000 who will only be a figurehead. "

" I would love to see a casino on one of the now and soon to be vacant sites where our factories have gone. After years of losing our citizens to better lands and oppertunities, i think that drastic situations need drastic changes to turn us right side up again. "
