AUBURN - The game was evenly matched on both sides of the plate and the Printery Yankees and the UPS Store Blue Jays tied the game 9-9 in a Boys and Girls League baseball game Monday.
Henery Forseman, Michael Pidlypchak and Tyler Spearing had three hits each for the Yankees. Tony Sylvester and Alexandria Bolak each had good hits. Joseph Herbert played well on defense for the Yankees.
For the Blue Jays, Mackenzie Wise, Jack Farrington and Jordan Fronzak had three hits each, and Luke Viggiano had a double. Kevin Martin played well defensively.
Finger Lakes Dermatology Red Sox 26, Auburn Fire Department Royals 16
Michael Procino, Issac Colella and John Duffy had four hits each for the Red Sox and Justin Czubat was a standout on defense.
Buck Haines scored three times for the Royals, and Jake Hickey scored twice. Eric Donovan played well on defense.
SANDLOT
Byrne Dairy 7, Nucor 0
Cody Fredette led Byrne Dairy with a grand slam homer, and Matt Tehan also had a couple of hits including a home run.
Paul Quinn hit a double, and Michaela Lamphere roped a hit as well. Trae Von Tortorice played well in the catcher's spot.
Jonathan Sanders hit a double, and Chris Dent singles for Nucor. Aaron Gordon and Jordan Mitchell played well on defense.
Autech Plastic 13, Mark's Pizzeria 9
Laura Hukee, Quinn Hukee, Brock Smith and David Rosekrans each roped two hits to pace the offense for Autech Plastic.
Lauren Reynolds and Eric Ansteth had two hits each for Mark's and Alex Ansteth played well as catcher to lead the defense.
AUBURN PONY LEAGUE
Auburn Fire Fighters 7, Casler Masonary 5
Nick Petrosino and Max Pinchak combined to allow just six hits while fanning nine batters for the Fire Fighters.
Petrosino paced the offense with a home run and a double, while Mike Carberry smacked a triple. Pinchak, Malcolm Kellogg and Jerrett McDonald each had a hit in the win. Pinchak led the defense and made a great play to end the game with the tying run on third base.
Jeff Gardner and Matt Netti combined for eight strikeouts and also allowed just six hits. Mikey Foltz led the offense with a single and a triple, while Netti, Gardner, Noah Christiantelli and T.J. Sochan had one hit each.
