Mark J. Kwasniewski, 40, with a last known address of 118 Hamilton Ave., Auburn, entered a guilty plea in Cayuga County Court on Thursday to two misdemeanor charges of second-degree harassment in a lingering domestic violence case.
Kwasniewski previously entered a guilty plea to two misdemeanor charges of second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment last November.
Despite that plea, Kwasniewski, however, still had several domestic violence-related misdemeanors pending in Auburn, Aurelius and Fleming courts. Last December, Cayuga County Judge Peter Corning ordered the Cayuga County District Attorney's office to present all of the charges for indictment by a grand jury so they would come before him. Kwasniewski's plea Thursday satisfied the eight other indicted misdemeanor or violation charges he had pending. His sentencing is scheduled for June 29.
A presentencing report prepared by the Cayuga County Probation Department because of Kwasniewski's November guilty plea must be updated following his guilty plea Thursday.
Kwasniewski stalked an ex-girlfriend and other people in her life, leading to four arrests and 16 charges.
Also in court Thursday, Nicholas Trapp, 43, of Utica, is scheduled to go on trial June 26 on the charge he burglarized a Brutus residence March 25, 2005.
