June 16, 1911
A truck wagon loaded with furniture bound for the summer home of Arthur P. Hemans on Owasco Lake collided with an automobile near the Springside Farm on the west side of the lake yesterday afternoon. The actual damage was slight.

Ronnie Odrzylowski will twirl for the Auburn Stars at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow against the league leading Oswego Brewers at Fort Ontario Diamond in Oswego.

Harold Hammond, the owner of Hot Diggity Dogs wants the City Council to reconsider its decision to ban a street vendor station from the south end of the State Street Mall. Hammond, who was the only vendor to apply for a sidewalk vendor permit this year, wants to move. He's not happy with his site, at the north end of the Exchange Street Mall. Earlier this year, city councilors approved a plan to designate several spots downtown as sites for street vending. The coveted prime location, the State Street Mall, was not among them.

The Schine Theater received a $10,000 donation recently from the family of Renee Schine Crown, the daughter of one of the theater's founders, J. Myer Schine, which will support restoration plans.
