Amish market to open on Saturday
Thee Amish Market, purveyors of Amish-made furniture, will host a grand-opening celebration Saturday, June 17, at its new location in the Fingerlakes Mall.

Walker joining Coldwell Banker
Sally A. Walker will join Coldwell Banker Prime Properties as a licensed sales associate. Walker is returning to the Camillus branch after a brief absence.
She has four years of real estate experience working with buyers and sellers in Cayuga and Onondaga counties. Walker has been a resident of Weedsport for the last 24 years.
Conquest fire dept. holds education day
The Conquest Fire Department will hold a community education day 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17.
Fun and food is promised to the public with educational demonstrations for children. A mock DWI accident will be staged and will involve a controlled burn demonstration.
Firefighters and emergency medical technicians will be in full gear. Law enforcement officers will speak on fire safety. Tours and demonstrations of the fire trucks and ambulance will be given. The education day is being held at the Conquest Recreational Field.
State joins other states to boost dairy
State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Brennan signed an agreement that will bind efforts to boost the dairy industries in New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont to ensure that the Northeast remains competitive.
A tri-state dairy advisory board will form to help the states work together. The board will create marketing and public relations campaigns that promote the economic contribution and strengths of dairy farmers and milk processing plants.
