The winning entries in

the Theodore Case Film

Festival will be shown in Room T229 at Cayuga Community College Saturday, June 17. The teen entries will be shown between 1 and 2:30 p.m., and the college/adult entries will be shown between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Awards will be given to the winning artists immediately following the screenings.

More than 40 entries from throughout central New York from film makers of all ages were submitted. Judges have chosen to show 18 films, including documentaries, music videos, experimental films, comedies and more.

All the films are 10 minutes or less. Films were divided into two divisions, and prizes will be awarded for different categories within each division.

Started in 2004 as a youth film festival by Cayuga Counseling, the event was renamed last year in honor of Theodore Case, the Auburn native who made talking movies possible.

Graphic design students at Cayuga/Onondaga BOCES worked on a new logo for the festival; the

chosen design was created by Kasey Pearsall.

Prize-winning films include an homage to the slasher genre by five high school students, a hilarious how-to on creating a band and a music video about a lonely sock.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call Eileen McHugh at 253-8051.
