Give dad a special treat this Father's Day. Treat him like the king he is with some good food and some terrific wine.
Several of the Cayuga Wine Trail wineries will be offering Father's Day specials with food and of course their specialty of delightful homemade wine.
Many wineries will be hosting family-friendly Father's Day buffets for the whole family, so bring the kids along, there'll be plenty for them to do as well.
Buttonwood Grove Winery will be holding a country western theme festival with live music by Lost Circle, a western barbecue, games, prizes and many fabulous wine specials.
The party features and encourages festive western attire and a “knee slappin'” good time. “This is a family event, with tons to do for both parents and kids,” Robin McNabb of Buttonwood Grove Winery said. “We will play horseshoes and a lasso game with plenty of prizes.”
Six Mile Creek Vineyard will also be catering to that special dad in your life, but will also add a little incentive for all the neighbors of the Cayuga Wine to enjoy with a local discount on wine selection as part of their month-long “Be a Tourist in Your Own Town.”
Knapp Vineyard won't be left out of the festivities this Father's Day. They plan to host a Father's Day brunch buffet. “To treat dad like a king” with a man's sort of meal. The buffet will feature mammoth helpings of all the meat and potatoes dad (or mom and the kids) can eat. Knapp Vineyards will serve steak, a potato buffet, pork loin and a salad bar (for dads who are watching their figures).
The meal, priced at $19.95 per person, will include a tasty array of desserts, pastries and a special Father's Day edition bottle of Cat Knapp Wine.
The mentioned wineries stress the fact that they plan these events to cater to the whole family, and promise family fun for all ages.
