Murphy takes fifth for Moravia

BINGHAMTON - Moravia's Amber Murphy placed fifth in the discus (103-11) and Martin Beck as fifth with a personal best in the pentathalon (2,640) at the Section IV Track and Field Championship on Friday.
The Blue Devils' Kerrin Epstein also placed, finishing sixth in the 1,500M (5:03.3).

GOLF

Four Southern Cayuga players earned top-10 finishes at the IAC Golf Girls and Juniors Tournament in Watkins Glen on Friday.

Eighth-grader Stephanie Morse had the best game for the Wolves, earning a second-place finish for the girls team after shooting a 46. Shawna Burke tied for sixth place, turning in a 67.

Tyler Smith placed sixth for the juniors, with a 45. Dan Le was just behind him in seventh place as he carded a 46.
