Good things come in twos for Travis Tarr.
After helping the Le Moyne men's lacrosse team to its second Division II national championship in three years, the Auburn native was named the winner of the William C. Schmeisser Award by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association as the nation's top defenseman in Division II - the second consecutive year he has received the accolade.
Tarr also became the program's first-ever four-time All-America selection by keying the nation's top defense each of the last four seasons. In 2006, Tarr helped Le Moyne maintain a 3.67 goals against average - the lowest in the nation in any division.
Le Moyne (18-0) was ranked No. 1 from wire-to-wire this season.
