The Auburn Police Department is seeking an armed robber who held up the Red Apple Kwik Fill gas station at 134 State St. by knifepoint late Wednesday night.
The gas station clerk, the only person on duty, was not injured during the robbery. A man wearing a ski mask threatened the clerk and demanded the money in the register. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled the store with the money in a northerly direction.

The suspect was described at 5 feet 5 to 6 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt along with a dark-colored ski mask.

APD patrol officers responded at 11:33 p.m. to the robbery alarm. Anyone with information is asked to contact the APD at 253-3231 or the investigating detective, Jeffrey Mead, at 255-4706.
