Full slate of games opens season

AUBURN -- Tommy Walsh and Emmet Mack each had three hits to lift the Tarby's Mowing Pirates over the First Niagara Cubs, 9-7, in a Boys and Girls baseball game Saturday.
Brittany Spinelli and Briley Lasio each had two hits, and Greg Walsh played great defense for the Pirates.

Anthony Torres, Trevor Gagliano, Jack Schattinger and Kristen Mohan each had three hits for the Cubs, and Hannah Kalabanka had a pair of hits. Emily Klock and Brian Chadwick played well on defense.

Ridley's Restaurant Braves 10,

Vision Care Associates Athletics 6

Anthony Micucci had three hits for the Braves, and Chris Micucci, Reed Chronis and Liam Cuddy had two hits apiece. Trei Huntsman, Elizabeth Plish and Kaitlin Feocco led the Braves' defense.

For the A's, Chloe Calhoun led the way with three hits, and Emma Rathborn and Evan Ryan each had two hits. Griffen Dunn and David Watkins made good defensive plays.

Fingerlakes Exterior Cardinals 15,

The UPS Store Blue Jays 13

Matt MicGlire led the Cardinals with three hits and three runs. Ryan Chalupnicki, Dylan Flask, Nick Alberici and Jenna Reilly each had a pair of hits and scored twice. Kati Bashta Joe LaPorta and Mike Shaw played well on defense.

For the Blue Jays, Mike Pidlypchak had three hits and two runs, Dan Nolan had two hits and a run, and Sam Hensel and Alexandria Bolak each had a hit and a run. Sammy Conley also added a hit. Henry Foresman, Tyler Spearing and Monica Montgomery played strong in the field.

Byrn's Trophy Padres 17,

Byrne Dairy Mets 13

Mark Feocco, Sarah Davenport, Sydney Fallat, Jack Canty and Margaret Canty each had two hits and two runs for the Padres. Casey Komanecky turned a solo double play with the bases loaded when he snagged a line drive and stepped on third to end the fourth inning with the Mets threatening.

Michael Morrissey, Allison DiVietro and Kellen Fedigan each had three hits, and DiVietro smacked a double for the Mets.

Tru-Cut Technology Orioles 18,

Finger Lakes Dermatology Red Sox 8

Austin Duger and Benny Pinchak led the Orioles with four hits each and sensational defensive play. Elijah Lincoln had three deep outfield hits, and Hunter Duger and Zachary Stanton also had four hits. Dylan Carnicelli played strong defense at first base.

The Red Sox's Bridget Moore had three hits, and Isaac Colella and Kaiden Tubbert each had two hits. Justin Czubat played great defense.

Morgan Foster Agency Rangers 22,

Auburn Fire Fighters Royals 10

Adrian Brown and Jacob Maltese had four hits each for the Rangers, and Cody Musso and Katelyn Stoddard each added three hits.

Tyler Mason had three hits for the Royals, and Alex Haines had two. T.J. Harris had a strong game in the field.

Gaston-Moore Twins 22,

Daddabbo's Indians 19

Julian and Austin Martinez, and Alex and Devin Decaro all had RBIs, and Tyler Smith, Kobe Mackenzie, Carlie Vatter, Daryin Cunningham and Rausan Agee all had hits for the Twins. Taylor Ryan and Trentyn Jackson were the Twins' defensive players of the game.

Austin Coff, Jared Wilmont and Joey Pettigrass all hit triples for the Indians. Giovanni Pettigrass, Dave Stillman and Olivia Amoia went 3-for-3.

Empire hardware Dodgers 17,

Children's Health Specialists Marlins 12

Kenny Sargent had four hits, Mikey Warren had three, and Alexa Daily had two for the Dodgers. Richard McConnell played well at first base.

For the Marlins, Alex Burgmaster had three hits and McKenzie Fedyshyn had a pair of hits.

AUBURN LITTLE LEAGUE

Bouley's 14, Auburn Correctional 2

Trevor Doan pitched a one-hitter and struck out nine for Bouley's. Doan and Jamie Kelly led the offense with three hits, and Luke Dranczak, Justin Middleton, Brendon Raftis and Jon Westmiller each had two hits. Rafits had two doubles, and Doan had a triple.

Ryan McCormick had the only hit for Auburn Correctional.

Tom Thumb 9,

Auburn Police Department 2

Patrick Farrell pitched a complete game two-hitter and struck out 14 of 18 batters for Tom Thumb. Joe Schillace had two hits, including a three-run home run, and Brendan King and Matt Johns had three hits apiece. Dominic Petrosino had two hits.

Mark Dushatinski singled for Auburn Police, and Mike Gamba doubled.

Emerald Payroll 10, The Citizen 2

Kevin Gauthier and Hunter Charles combined for a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts for Emerald. Jack Bergmaster had two hits, and Tommy Herbert, Nick Mitchell and Justin Valentino each had a hit.

John Rizzo recorded the only hit for The Citizen.

Stanton Automatics 8, Kayn Design 4

Matt Carberry hit a bases-loaded triple with two outs in a losing effort for Kayn. Liam Grasko had two hits, and Conner Herr, Jimmy Spinelli and Anthony Sheets each had one hit.

For Stanton, Joey DeAngleis had two hits and R.J. Anderson had one.

AUBURN PONY LEAGUE

Michaels & Smolak 6,

Fingerlakes Center for Living 2

Joe Messino and Tommie Alexander shared mound duties for Michaels, and Noah Hutchings, Ed Bauso, Andrew Shaw and Shane Lawrence led the offense with RBI singles.

Nathan Evangelista had two hits for Fingerlakes, and Kiernan Major played excellent defense.

Printery 4, Elks Club 2

T.J. Bacanick struck out six batters and Joe Delaney struck out six also for the Printery. Billy Farrington had a double and an RBI, and Jordan Tabone, Stephen Giannotta and Trent Valentino each had RBI singles.

Matt Brooks struck out five batters and had a double for Elks Club.

Auburn Kiwanis 4,

Casler Masonry 2, seven innings

Cody Ladisair, Mikey Charles and Dan Defranco combined for a two-hitter and 16 strikeouts for Kiwanis.

Defranco, Ladisair Kevin Dicola and Pat Deluca had hits for Kiwanis.

Jonathan Bell and Noah Christiantelli had Casler's hits.
