Stephen B. Wirsig, 46, of 1581 Rooker Drive, Port Byron, was treated for leg and back injuries at Auburn Memorial Hospital Friday following a motor vehicle accident, according to the Seneca County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies reported that Joan M. Lynch, 50, of 32 Boston Ave., Seneca Falls, was traveling westbound on Route 318 in Tyre. She attempted to make a lefthand turn onto Gravel Road when she was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Albert J. Yoder, 21, of 5459 Knoxboro Road, Munnsville.

Lynch's vehicle was subsequently pushed into the eastbound lane, where it struck Wirsig's vehicle.

Lynch was airlifted to Upstate Medical for head injuries, and Yoder, who was later issued traffic tickets, and his passenger were both treated at the scene.
