Arts council seeks sponsors for event
Corporate sponsors are needed for a fundraising event, ARTini, which will benefit the Cayuga County Arts Council.
The cocktail party event, to be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, will include entertainment, local artist displays, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction.
ARTini will be held at the Auburn Public Theater. Sponsorship benefits include business logos on posters, programs and martini glasses, as well as visibility at the event.

County hosting tire roundup on June 3
Cayuga County will hold its fourth annual Tire Round-Up from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 3 at the Cayuga County Natural Resource Center, 7413 County House Road, Sennett.
Households (no businesses) may bring up to 40 tires, for a fee of 50 cents per tire. Tires up to 36 inches in diameter, on or off rims, will be accepted.
Last year, more than 11,000 tires were collected.

Group to hold soup supper for hunger
The Cayuga County Emergency Food Providers will have a soup supper for Hunger Awareness Day from 5 to 7 p.m. June 5, at the First Love Fellowship/Ministries at 99 Wall St.
Soups will be donated by various community members and agencies around the county. The event is open to the public.
If anyone is interested in participating, contact Sue Norton, who operates the St. Alphonsus Food Pantry, at 253-5759.
