Weedsport cruises past MPH

WEEDSPORT - Nick VanWie won the long jump (19-4) triple jump (38-6) and the 400M (57.5) as Weedsport dominated Manlius Pebble Hill 120-11 in boys track and field Wednesday.
Zach Nevidomsky won the 110 hurdles (17.4) and the high jump (5-10). Josh Galletta took first in the 100M (11.5), Opie Jordan won the shot put (37-.5) and the discus (99-4) and both Dominic Galletta and Kerry Green tied in the pole vault (7-0).

Sean Daly won the 1600M (5:06) and the 200M (25.1). Zach Field won the 800M (2:23.4).

Weedsport also won the 4 x 800 relay (9:30.4) and the 4 x 100 relay (46.2).

The Warriors host the Weedsport Invitational Saturday.

Jordan-Elbridge 78, Hannibal 63

JORDAN - Andy DeGray won the long jump (18-6), triple jump (39-5.5) and the high jump (5-8) to lead the Eagles.

Chris Weingarth and Donato DiRenzo tied for first in the 1600M (5:36.2) and Weingarth and Joel Lopez tied in the 800M (2:24.8). Weingarth also won the 3200M (11:33.1).

Scott Mills finished first in the pole vault (8-6).

Kyle Bard, Weingarth, Jake Griffin and Lopez won the 4 x 800 relay (10:25.7).

Cato-Meridian 78, Port Byron 53

Port Byron 68, Onondaga 64

Cato-Meridian 79, Onondaga 51

PORT BYRON - The Blue Devils' David O'Neill won the 400M (54.3) and the 200M (23.8). Nathan Blake won the high jump (5-6), Andrew Gillis won the triple jump, Sean Peckham won the 800M (2:17). Tim Hughes took first in the 400M hurdles (69.5) and the 1600M (4:59).

For the Panthers, Ben Furco won the 110 hurdles (17.4) and long jump (16-0). Aaron Baldwin won the 3200M (11:25) and Brian Locastro finished first in the shot put (35-1). Port Byron's Josh St. Martin, Furco, Shawn Seamans and Rich Seamans also won the 4 x 100 relay (48.8).

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

Jordan-Elbridge 110, Hannibal 22

ELBRIDGE - Libby Forward won the triple jump (31-7) and the 3000M (13:02). Ingrid Forward won the 100 hurdles (17.0), Chantelle Wood won the 100M (14.0), Catie White won the 1500M (5:29.8) and the 800M (2:38.8) and Lyndsay Hollis took first in both the 400M (63.0) and 200M (28.3).

Kristin Raeon won the shot put (30-1), high jump (5-0) and 400 hurdles (70.8). Katie Darling won the long jump (14-10.25).

The Eagles also won the 4 x 800 relay (11:33), 4 x 100 relay (55.8) and 4 x 400 relay (4:51.8).

The Eagles (4-2) compete at the Southern Cayuga Invitational Saturday.
