Pesarchick goes distance for Lakers

CAZENOVIA - Mike Pesarchick pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits and one earned run while striking out seven, and Skaneateles beat Cazenovia 16-2 in a baseball game Monday.
The Lakers offense was led by Matt Wild (2-for-3, two runs, four RBIs), Eric Schaeffer (2-for-5, two runs, two RBIs), Mike Perkins (1-for-3, three runs, double, RBI) and Sam Sarofeen (2-for-3, two runs).

Skaneateles (10-2, 8-1) host Solvay today.

Moravia 8, Marathon 2

MORAVIA - Dustin LeFave picked up his fourth win of the year and went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Blue Devils. LeFave struck out nine and allowed only one run and three hits in 6 2-3 innings of work.

Moravia also got contributions from Mike Marr (2-for-3, double, triple), Tim Nervina (2-for-4, three RBIs, double), Jake Wood (2-for-4, two RBIs) and Bryant Badman (2-for-2, two RBIs).

The Blue Devils (12-2, 8-1) travel to Newfield today.

Lansing 13, Union Springs 6

UNION SPRINGS - Marc Rodriguez and Matt Orman each had two hits and a double for Union Springs.

Doug Morgan added two hits and Eric Johnson went 1-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs.

The Wolves (5-8, 5-8) host Southern Cayuga Wednesday.

Tully 17, Weedsport 9

WEEDSPORT - Two days after Jeff Bibbens struck out 17 and pitched all 10 innings of Weedsport's win over Port Byron, the senior led the Warriors' offense with three hits and three RBIs.

Bryce Leitten picked up the loss for Weedsport.

Pulaski 8, Port Byron 0

PORT BYRON - Tab Carmon, Kent Pitcher and Zach Reyer each had hits for the Panthers.

Nick Janusz received the loss, throwing a complete game and giving up only two earned runs and striking out five.

BOYS GOLF

Lansing 187, Union Springs 203

UNION SPRINGS - The Wolves lost to undefeated Lansing as Nate Gavitt, Luke Patterson and Matt Cuff each carded a 39.

Dustin Clark also finished with a 40 for Union Springs.

The Wolves (8-3) play today at Spencer-Van Etten.

Manlius Pebble Hill 220,

Weedsport 222

WEEDSPORT - Marcus Capeder was the day's medalist with a 39, Corry Porter shot a 44 and both Jason Ryan and Shane Stoffle turned in a 45.

The Warriors (5-4) host Cato-Meridian Wednesday.

Cato-Meridian 208, A-P-W 243

CATO - Medalists Seth Lindo and James Nervina each shot a 39 to lead the Blue Devils.

Cato-Meridian's Phil Grant shot a 40 while Cody Hoag turned in a 43.

Moravia 222, Marathon 237

LOCKE - Ben Shields led the Blue Devils with a 37, and Matt Kievit turned in a 43.

Moravia (3-7) travels to play Southern Cayuga at Wells College today.

Groton 227, Southern Cayuga 250

GROTON - Casey Underwood and Lewis Morse each shot a 48, and Arthur Burt and Ben Shaw each carded a 51.

The Chiefs host Moravia at Wells College today.

GIRLS LACROSSE

CBA 14, Auburn 11

AUBURN - Rosie Scheibel led the Maroons with four scores while Janielle Viggiano and Flannery Nangle each chipped in with two.

Leah Downing had a goal and an assist while Katelyn Aldrich and Bridgette Cool each scored once.

JoLynn Brewer had 16 saves in goal.

Auburn (5-8) travels to Oswego today.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

Westhill 100, Jordan-Elbridge 41

WESTHILL - Andy DeGray won the high jump (5-6), Donato DiRenzo won the 3200M (11:09.6) and Joe Sullivan took first in the 800M (214.9).
