AUBURN - In their first game of the season back at Falcon Park, Auburn made no errors in a 2-0 win over Union-Endicott Friday in the first game of the Falcon Park Tournament.
With two outs in the fourth inning, Ryan Gleason hit an RBI double to get the Maroons their first run. Zach Prentice single-handedly scored the second run as he hit a single in the fifth inning, stole second base, got to third on an error by the catcher and then stole home on another errant pitch.

Good pitching and defense also played a large role in the victory. Dan Zambito got the win after pitching five innings, striking out four batters and giving up just five hits and five walks. Steve Deyo had the save by getting three strikeouts and two walks in the final two innings. The infield turned a double play in the fifth inning with one out and bases loaded.

The Maroons (3-5) will play the winner of the Lansing/Central Square matchup in the championship game at 4 p.m. today at Falcon Park.

Skaneateles 7, Solvay 4

SOLVAY - Mike Pesarchick got the win, pitching six innings with six strikeouts, two hits, five walks but no earned runs. Mike Perkins got the save, striking out one batter in the seventh inning.

Perkins led the Lakers after going 4-for-4 with a home run, one RBI, scoring three runs and stealing one base. Eric Shaeffer also played well at the plate, hitting a double and three RBIs. Matt Wild and Josh Sherman also had an RBI each.

Skaneateles (5-0 league, 7-1 overall) heads to Cooperstown to face Bishop Ludden tomorrow.

Westhill 10, Jordan-Elbridge 4

ELBRIDGE - Matt Willsey pitched the first three innings (three strikeouts, two walks, three earned runs, five hits) and Ted Hart closed the game (one earned run, four hits, five strikeouts, two walks) for the Eagles.

Jason Coleman had an RBI and a run scored as well as two stolen bases. Nick Chartrand, Lucas Overton and Willsey also had an RBI.
