Cheerleading tryouts begin May 1
The CNY Storm All Stars will be holding tryouts for their 2006-07 team from 5:30 to 8 p.m. May 1, 3, 8 and 10.
Male and female cheerleaders and gymnasts of all ages and ability levels are welcome to try out. Teams include Tiny (5 years and under), Mini (8 and under), Youth (11 and under), Junior (14 and under) and Senior (18 and under).
CNY also has an open team for those 18 and older and the tryouts will be in June.

Final sign-up for softball is Sunday
Registration for the Auburn Jr. Olympic softball program will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30, at the Casey Park Arena.
The league is for girls between the ages of 8 and 15. The league will be split into three divisions. The divisions are: 8-10 year olds, 11-12 year olds and 13-15 year olds.
This year the Jr. Olympic program is being jointly run by the Auburn City Recreation Department and the Auburn Sports Boosters. There is a registration fee of $35 for all residents of the Auburn City School district and a $40 fee to all non-residents.

Camp Y-Owasco taking registrations
The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is accepting registrations for day and resident camp sessions at Camp Y-Owasco until the camps are full.
The deadline for early registration, which offers $10 off the total camp fee, is April 30. The day camp is open to boys and girls ages six to 14 while the resident camp is available for ages nine to 15.
Camp Y-Owasco is located on the east shore of Owasco Lake, approximately 10 miles south of Auburn. Bus transportation from neighborhood pick-up points within the city of Auburn to Camp Y-Owasco is provided for day campers each morning, with a return trip in the afternoon.

AHS Hall of Fame seeks nominations
Auburn High School Athletic Hall of Fame nominations must be submitted by June 30.
Forms are available at the Auburn athletic office, Knights of Columbus, Kostas and Lewis restaurants, Snappers and the YMCA.

The Empire State Senior Games will be held June 6 to 11 in Cortland. Team entry forms are due by Friday, April 28, and individual entries are due by May 5.

The Dutch Hollow C.C. Ladies Golf Academy is offering a six-week program of golf instructions from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evenings from May 3 to June 7.
