Auburn native leads Hofstra lacrosse
Senior midfielder Jamie Rabuano, of Auburn, tied junior attack Kelsey Hillier for game-high honors with four goals, all in the first half, to lead No. 17 Hofstra to a 16-8 win over its Long Island rival Stony Brook, Tuesday afternoon at LaValle Stadium.

The win was Hofstra's seventh straight and the Pride improve to 10-6 on the season.

The seven-game win streak is currently the nation's second-longest , behind just Monmouth's nine-game streak.

Last chance for Jr. softball is Sunday

Registration for the Auburn Jr. Olympic softball program will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30, at the Casey Park Arena.

The league is for girls between the ages of 8 and 15.

The league will be split into three divisions. The divisions are: 8-10 year olds, 11-12 year olds and 13-15 year olds. This year the Jr. Olympic program is being jointly run by the Auburn City Recreation Department and the Auburn Sports Boosters.

There is a registration fee of $35 for all residents of the Auburn City School district and a $40 fee to all non-residents.

The Moravia American Legion baseball team is looking for players for the upcoming season.

Auburn Little League and Pony League baseball will be holding a mandatory umpire's meeting at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at the Little League fields at Owasco Lake.

CYO golf tourney to be held in May

The Sacred Heart/St. Ann's CYO golf tournament will be held Saturday, May 20, at Dutch Hollow Country Club.

The four-person scramble will have a shot-gun start at 1 p.m.

The fee is $60 per player and includes greens fees, cart, buffet and prizes.

Interim membership available at YMCA

The Auburn YMCA is offering a special three-month summer membership.

Categories include young adult, adult, healthier center, senior citizen and family.

The summer membership can be initiated beginning May 15.
