Auburn's Minnoe second at tourney
Claire Minnoe, of Auburn, took second place in the Girls 12 and under USTA Tennis Tournament.

Minnoe defeated seven opponents in the round-robin event that was held at the Midtown Athletic Club in Rochester. Her only loss was to Agnes Zhang, of Penfield, who was the champion.

Minnoe plays at the Wilcox Tennis Academy in Auburn.

DIRT race washed out at CCFS

Sunday's slate of DIRT races were canceled due to rain.

The schedule resumes next Sunday at the Cayuga County Fairgrounds.

Youth baseball

Registrations for American Legion and Babe Ruth Baseball will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at the Knights of Columbus.

There will be a donation of $115 and $50 for raffle tickets. Each player will be required to sell 10 raffle tickets for $165.

Last day for softball sign up is April 30

Registration for the Auburn Jr. Olympic softball program will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30, at the Casey Park Arena.

The league is for girls between the ages of 8 and 15. The league will be split into three divisions. The divisions are: 8-10 year olds, 11-12 year olds and 13-15 year olds.

This year the Jr. Olympic program is being jointly run by the Auburn City Recreation Department and the Auburn Sports Boosters.

There is a registration fee of $35 for all residents of the Auburn City School district and a $40 fee to all non-residents.

Babe Ruth meeting will be tomorrow

The first meeting of the year for Cayuga County Babe Ruth will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wayne's computer store in Elbridge. All communities that will be having teams this year must attend.

Arsenal registration set for Wednesday

The Auburn Arsenal girls soccer club is accepting summer league registrations from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Seward Elementary School.

Union Springs soccer sign ups tomorrow

The Union Springs soccer club will be holding a registration and volunteer drive from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at A.J. Smith Elementary School.

AHS Hall of Fame seeking nominations

Auburn High School Athletic Hall of Fame nominations must be submitted by June 30.
