Lakers return to championship form
If the first game of the season was any indication, the Tully girls lacrosse team would have put up a fight against Skaneateles.
The defending state champion Lakers lost a 12-6 match to West Genesee last Friday and on Saturday, Tully blanked New Hartford 16-0 in their season opener.
But at Cicero-North Syracuse High School on Tuesday, the Lakers defeated the Black Knights 16-2. Midfielder Libby Johnson scored the Lakers' first goal 1:30 into the game and it was downhill from there for Tully.
