A trial date for Jolynn Wilson, charged in the death of her infant son, John D. Overstreet, has been set for Monday, May 1.
Wilson was arrested last year after her 2 1/2-month-
old child died from a loss of oxygen 4 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16.
Wilson has since been indicted on the felony charge of second-degree manslaughter and a misdemeanor charge of making a false written statement to police.
Wilson is accused of forcefully placing a baby bottle into Overstreet's mouth in an effort to stop him from crying.
Family members have said Overstreet's death was caused from choking on baby formula and she was a dedicated mother.
Wilson, 20, shared her 4 Orchard St. apartment with her mother and son.
Authorities say Wilson was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of her son's death.
