Auburn's Balash earns lacrosse honor
Chris Balash, a senior attackman on the Nazareth men's lacrosse team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week ending March 19.
A graduate of Auburn High School, Balash helped the ninth-ranked Golden Flyers to two non-conference victories last week as Nazareth improved to 3-1.
He scored two goals and added two assists in a 17-10 win over Clarkson last Monday and then contributed four goals and one assist in a 15-11 win over 13th-ranked Bowdoin.
Balash now ranks 11th all-time in Nazareth career scoring with 126 points on 80 goals and 26 assists.

Registration open for Camp Y-Owasco
The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is accepting registrations for day and resident camp sessions at Camp Y-Owasco. The day camp is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 14 while the resident camp is available for ages 9 to 15.
Camp Y-Owasco is located on the east shore of Owasco Lake, approximately 10 miles south of Auburn. Bus transportation from neighborhood pick-up points within the city of Auburn to Camp Y-Owasco is provided for day campers each morning, with a return trip in the afternoon.

Auburn High School Athletic Hall of Fame nominations must be submitted by June 30.

The Lansing Rod and Gun Club,located at 55 Salmon Creek Road, is holding an Archery Course at 5:30 p.m. March 27 and 29.

Memorabilia show will be in Syracuse
There will be a sports memorabilia and collection show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 23, at the Horticultural Building at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.
The show will consist of more than 50 vendors selling all types of collectibles on 150 vendor tables. Admission is $4, and children ages 10 and under get in free.
Appearing at the show will be former New York Yankee and 1979 American League MVP Don Baylor and 1976-1980 Syracuse University basketball player Roosevelt Bouie Jr.
