Pee Wee Wrestling begins Saturday
Registration for the Pee Wee Wrestling Club will be held at 8 a.m. March 4 in the Auburn High School wrestling room. The first practice will immediately follow.

The wrestling club will be held Saturdays from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. and will conclude March 25.

Pee Wee wrestling is a program for children in the Auburn school district from grades one through five who are interested in learning the fundamentals of scholastic wrestling. The cost is $15 per child and each child should have sneakers, shorts and a T-shirt for the practice.

Moravia League signups next week

The Moravia Youth League will hold registrations for baseball and softball for the 2006 season from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 6, at Moravia Elementary School.

All boys and girls ages six through 12 are encouraged to attend. This will be the only night for registration.

YMCA hosting

racquetball league

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is offering a Monday night racquetball league that begins Monday, March 6. Players of all levels are welcome to play in the five-week league.

The fee is $15 for Y-members and $30 for the general public. Registration deadline is Tuesday, March 1.

Fingerlakes Minor Soccer begins soon

Soccer registration is starting for the 2006 Fingerlakes Minor Soccer League season. Registrations will be held in Auburn from 9 a.m. to noon on March 4, at Westside P&C. For more information, contact Sue Loving, Auburn registrar, at 253-5034 or email loving13021@yahoo.com.

In Port Byron, registrations will be from 10 a.m. to noon on March 4 and March 11, in the Port Byron Middle School lobby. For more information, contact Steve St. Martin, Port Byron registrar, at 776-9125 or email stmartin@msn.com.

In Elbridge, registrations is from from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 5, at Elbridge Big M. For more information, contact Julie Blumer, Weedsport registrar, at 246-7920 or at the above email address.

Registration deadline is March 25; after that date there will be no refunds. Every new player must submit a photocopy of his or her birth certificate at the time of registration. The cost for a Squirt to Senior division player is $35 per family member for the first and second player, $30 for the third and $25 for the fourth-plus player. For the Mite Division, the cost is $30 for the first and second player per family, $25 for the third player and $20 for the fourth-plus player.

AAU tryouts set for March 12

Tryouts for the 2006 Central Western boys and girls AAU basketball travel team will be held at the Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls on Sunday, March 12.
