Q. What is the most rewarding part of your job?
A. Helping people obtain good health care.
Q. What is the most challenging?
A. Working with all the regulations and insurance companies that don't pay well.
Q. If there was one part of your day you could do without, what is it?
A. Rushing around trying to get ready in the morning.
Q. When you're sick, describe yourself as a patient?
A. I think I try to be informed and take care of myself.
Q. What is the best piece advice you can give someone to prevent a trip to the office?
A. To try and do as many healthy things for themselves as possible - eat right, exercise and not to smoke.
Q. The most common misconception you hear from patients?
A. That antibiotics take care of everything. People think if something is wrong they can just order something to take care of their child.
Q. If you weren't at your current position, what would you like to be doing?
A. I'd stay in accounting, but I think it would be exciting to work at the White House.
Q. What's the favorite thing you have in your medicine cabinet?
A. My arthritis medicine because it allows me to be a lot more mobile.
