Two stolen cars crash, drivers under investigation
It was a short-lived getaway.
Two fellow suspects driving stolen cars from Cayuga County crashed on Route 90 in the Cortland County town of Homer on Thursday morning, according to a news release from the New York State Police Troop C.
The cars were first clocked driving at 80 mph on Route 90 in the town of Summerhill by a New York State Police patrol out of the Auburn station. As troopers neared the speeding vehicles, a 2000 Buick lost control and crashed into a guardrail, but the second car sped on. The driver of the Buick, Kenneth R. Armstrong, 23, of 1272 Tollgate Hill Road, Moravia, was transported to Cortland Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.
