Lakers take two at sectional meet
SYRACUSE - It was all about the baton for the Skaneateles girls track team at the Section III track and field championships Monday night at Manley Field House.
The Lakers won two relays and finished second in another, as the team earned 46 points. After 13 events, they ranked third in Class B/C/D, behind Chittenango's 48 points and Westhill's 80.
Senior Talia Rooney led the 4x400-meter relay team to victory with a time of 4:13.94 and was also part of the second-place 4x200-meter team. She also earned her team points by finishing fourth in the 600-meter run.
