Sectional time is almost here

For the second year, there will be open qualifying for Section III basketball. Every team is eligible for postseason play and pairings will be announced for the boys on Sunday and the girls on Wednesday. In Section IV, sectional pairings will be announced Wednesday. There is no open qualifying in Section IV, but the rules for eligibility vary from school to school. For example, some schools won't send a team unless they win 50 percent of their games while others, including Union Springs, have no stipulations regarding sectional play.
