Boys top five

Thursday, February 9, 2006 9:53 AM EST

1. Union Springs (15-3): The Wolves suffered a letdown against Lansing but should be fine in the postseason if they can avoid foul trouble.
2. Weedsport (12-6): The Warriors knocked off first-place LaFayette proving they are a legitimate contender for a sectional title.

3. Auburn (9-9): The toughness of the Colonial American conference has finally caught up with the Maroons.

4. Port Byron (6-12): The Panthers have lost close games all season but have proven they can battle with any team.

5. Cato-Meridian (7-11): The Blue Devils lack a go-to scorer but have a deep bench and a lot of speed.
