CYO foul-shooting contest on Feb. 18
Auburn CYO will hold a foul-shooting contest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 18 at St. Hyacinth gym on Pulaski Street.

All CYO players and coaches are welcome.

Kids Sandlot hosting registration March 11

Kids Sandlot baseball will have open registration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 11 at the Fingerlakes Mall.

Casey Park holding winter softball

There will be a coed snowball softball tournament at Casey Park Field on Sat., Feb. 25.

YMCA offering swimming lessons

The Auburn YMCA is offering swim lessons for ages six months to five years of age.

Lessons are seven weeks long and will begin the week of Feb. 20. Registrations for members of the YMCA are open and on Feb. 13 for the general public.

New youth hoops league starting up

There will be a March Madness Basketball League offered to boys in the Auburn school district in grades 4 through 8.

There will be two divisions (grades 4 to 6 and grades 7 and 8) which will begin March 6 at East Middle School.

Little League holds registration in March

Registration for Little League baseball will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday March 2, at Seward Elementary School.

Byrn Jr. Masters starts Saturday

The 39th Annual Boys and 27th Annual Girls Junior Masters, sponsored by Byrn's Trophy Shop & Auburn Youth Leaders, begins at 1 p.m. Sat., Feb. 11 at Starlite Lanes.

The tournament continues Saturday, Feb. 18 at Rainbow Lanes at 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19 at Rainbow Lanes at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25 at Cedar House Lanes at 1 p.m. and concludes at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26 at Cedar House Lanes. The entry fee is $12 and it is a double elimination, scratch tournament. $2000 in scholarships will also be awarded.

The champions will receive a $500 Anthony Vitetta scholarship, runners-up will get a $250 Nancy Jean Barski scholarship, third place will receive a $150 Auburn Youth Bowling scholarship and fourth place will be awarded a $100 Auburn Youth Bowling scholarship.

Entries can be mailed to Tournament Director: Tom Ostrander 118 N. Hoopes Ave Auburn, NY 13021. Entries will be accepted until 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.

AHS Hall of Fame taking nominations

Auburn High School Athletic Hall of Fame nominations must be submitted by June 30.
