The Mirbeau Inn & Spa Co. of Skaneateles is growing. And additional opportunities may be on the horizon.
The company Wednesday announced plans to add a second location in the Dutchess County village of Rhinebeck.
Gary and Linda Dower, the owners of the Mirbeau Inn & Spa Company, have submitted a proposal to Rhinebeck for the construction of the new Mirbeau Inn & Spa Retreat.
The proposal provides for the development of 80 rooms and a 15,000-square-foot spa facility.
The company opened its first property in Skaneateles in 2000.
It is now looking at various
additional locations nation-
wide.
The owners are also reviewing sites in the Washington, D.C. area, and a 78-acre property on Geneva Lake in William Bay, Wis., to serve the Chicago market.
The Williams Bay project includes a 100-room Mirbeau retreat and up to 100 new,
uniquely designed Mirbeau residences.
The company is anticipating the proposed Rhinebeck location will attract the New York City, western New England, Albany and Hudson Valley markets.
