Chiefs finish sixth at Holiday Tourney
The Southern Cayuga wrestling team hosted its Holiday Tournament on Saturday.
Chenango Valley won the tournament for the second straight year. The Chiefs finished in sixth place.
Dean Stevens went 5-0 for Southern Cayuga at 189 pounds, Jared Littlejohn was 4-0 at that weight.
Andy Gill was 3-0 at 130 and Ben Bower was 4-1.
Champions for Life offers open gym
Champions for Life Sports Center will be offering a holiday open gym during the week of Dec. 26-30.
Sessions will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday of that week from 10 a.m. to noon for all ages.
For ages 10 and under, sessions will be held from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and from 7:30 to 9 p.m. for ages 11 and up. The cost is $3 for non-members and $2 for members.
Beginning Jan. 6, there will be open gym every Friday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for ages 10 and under and from 8:30 to 10 p.m. for ages 11 and up.

Skaneateles hockey to host alumni
All Skaneateles hockey alumni are invited to be special guests at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 23, for the SCS vs. I.H.C. hockey game.
Festivities start at 7 p.m., come early and meet old friends at the registration table. There will be a silent auction of retro jerseys. The alumni game is Dec. 24 at 10 a.m.
YMCA offering youth swim lessons
The Auburn YMCA is offering youth swim lessons for ages 6 months to 5 years, swim lessons for youth ages 6-15 years and a winter session of Aquatics classes. Lessons go for seven weeks and begin the week of Jan. 2.
Registrations for members of the Y begin on Dec. 19 and on Dec. 26 for the general public. All lessons stress water safety, proper strokes techniques, shallow diving and correct breathing. Great Winter Race takes place Jan. 29
The 28th Annual Great Winter Race will take place Jan. 29. The traditional or short course is available to skate, run, ski and snowshoe.

The Champions For Life boys gymnastics team is holding a fund-raiser starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Pizza Hut on Grant Avenue in Auburn.
Pizza Hut is donating 20 percent of all dine-in or carry-out purchases made until closing to the boys gymnastics team when you mention Champions For Life.
Exercise therapy class at YMCA
The Auburn YMCA-WEIU in conjunction with Master teacher Sean McLeod and the New York Institute of Dance Education is offering an Exercise and Movement Therapy workshop for athletes of all levels and abilities.
This workshop is a full body experience designed to take the athlete to the next step. It works on the concept of core strength and increased agility and reflex response. Each session consists of stretching and toning through movement.
Workshops are offered from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Thursday, Dec. 29
