AUBURN - The Cayuga County Highway Department often replaces signs for any number of reasons.
Signs fade because of sun damage. Car accidents bend or totally destroy them. Hunters accidentally put bullets through them, or people decide to take them as souvenirs.
Next year, however, it won't be the signs that are replaced but the machine used to make them.
